Together with our experienced guides, paddle in pairs along the coast and enter the mangroves of Pulau Ubin. Appreciate the wonders of nature against a backdrop of endless greenery and learn about the amazing works of Earth's ecology. Eco-friendly kayaks, dewy fresh air and the cooing and buzzing of birds, this is definitely ultimate tranquility, with lots of fun!
On arrival, your guide will help you get outfitted in good quality gear before you glide off the beach in a tandem kayak to begin your Mangrove Kayaking Adventure on Pulau Ubin. Kingfishers, Eagles, Hornbills, Herons and Egrets are some of the many species of birds often spotted. More difficult to spot will be the family of otters or the two pods of pink river dolphins we have, on occasion, chanced-upon.
Rain or shine, this is quite simply the finest half-day kayak trip you will find in Singapore. Certified guides lead an entertaining sea and mangrove route that is limited to 20 participants. This is an easy to moderate adventure, which requires no previous experience or skill, making it perfect for beginners and families. HOW DO I GET TO PULAU UBIN?
Step 1: Arrive at Changi Point Ferry Terminal
- Take the MRT to Tanah Merah Station
- Upon arriving at Tanah Merah Station, take bus number 2 from Bus Stop A towards Changi Village. Alight at the final bus stop (the bus journey is about 30 minutes)
- Take a 5-minute walk from the bus stop to Changi Point Ferry Terminal.
- Alternatively, you may onto a taxi to reach the Ferry Terminal directly.
Step 2: Take a bumboat ride from Changi Point Ferry Terminal to Pulau Ubin Island
- Join the bumboat queue, heading towards Pulau Ubin, located at the lower level of the Ferry Terminal
- Pay $2.50 per person to the bumboat operator*
- It takes about 20 minutes to reach Pulau Ubin
- The waiting time before you board the bumboat can range between 10 - 30 mins depending on traffic on that day. Please do give yourself enough time allowance for catching the bumboat ride over to Pulau Ubin.
*As the bumboat operators will not depart until there are 12 passengers in the queue, you may choose to split the full 12-person fare with the other passengers who are in line.

HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING FOR THE PROGRAM?
Bookings can only be done online. Please note that the submission of your registration form will be considered as a confirmed booking for the program.

WHAT ARE THE PRE-REQUISITES FOR THIS PROGRAM?
There are no pre-requisites for this program, even non-swimmers can enjoy this program. Everyone will be decked with a Personal Floatation Device to keep participants afloat in the water. Hence, even non-swimmers will enjoy the time in water just as much. In addition, our crew is made up of qualified instructors who are well trained in first-aid and rescue.
Children should be at least 5 years old to take part in this program. Also, each child between the ages of 5 and 12 years must be accompanied by at least 1 adult.

IS LUNCH INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM FEE?
No, participants may pack their own snacks such as sandwiches. Alternatively, there are local restaurants and eateries on Pulau Ubin itself within walking distance of the program venue.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING FOR THE PROGRAM?
- Your Registration Comfirmation Form
- Toiletries and towel for freshening up.
- A change of fresh clothes.
- Personal medications.
- Keepers for eyewear.
- If you wear contact lenses - Bring a pair of glasses just in case.
- Sunscreen.
- Hat / Cap.
- Water bottle.
- T-shirt / Rash guard with surf / board shorts
- Covered Footwear for kayaking.- Barefoot, slippers/flip-flops and sandals are not allowed.*
*Participants who come with inappropriate footwear will not be allowed to proceed with the program as a standard safety procedure.

HOW DO I MAKE PAYMENT?
All payments are to be made online during the booking through credit card payment. Please be informed that Visa, MasterCard and AMEX cards are accepted.
In the event that minimum numbers are not met, our customer service staff will contact you to check if you would like to go for an alternative available date. However, it only takes 2 participants for the program to run, hence, do grab a friend to come along!

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
All cancellations must be in writing, via fax or e-mail. A cancellation is only confirmed with an acknowledgement from Asian Detours.
If you cancel at least 8 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is no cancellation fee. If you cancel between 3 and 7 day(s) in advance of the scheduled departure, there is a 50% cancellation fee. If you cancel within 2 day(s) of the scheduled departure, there is a 100% cancellation fee.

WHAT IF I AM LATE FOR THE PROGRAM?
Please note that there is a 15 minute grace period for the program timings. Once the grace period is up, the program will commence and latecomers will not be allowed to join the program. There will be no refunds for latecomers or no-shows.
